The smell of shortbread cookies reminds me of the holidays. This cookie is a classic around Christmas time with its buttery flavour and melt in your mouth texture. The sprinkles add that fun, holiday touch.
Makes 4 dozen cookies
Ingredients
1lb of butter
1/2 cup of cornstarch
3 cups of flour
1 cup of icing sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Sprinkles (purchase sprinkles on Amazon here)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Cream butter and sugar.
3. Add vanilla.
4. Mix flour and cornstarch and add into butter and sugar mixture.
5. Use a spoon to drop dough onto ungreased sheet.
6. Decorate with sprinkles.
7. Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes and allow to cool.
8. Enjoy!
